Pollination Agents in the City
Working, teaching and curating as an artist duo for ten years, we are currently redefining our practice as a combination of collaborative and individual trajectories. To articulate this renovation we intend to actively research and re-think the challenge of collaborative processes and its potential in society at large. The underlying conceptual force is to find ways to investigate collaborative processes as such, from fluidity and interconnected relationship of elements, to pollination and friction. To do so, we want to examine connections between practices, collect
and document examples of experimental formats of artistic togetherness : communal, collective, collaborative and agency. Moreover we want to re-think together: how do we influence each other knowingly and unknowingly? how to address the blurring of intrinsicality caused by social media or physical closeness? how to evolve as individuals within collaboration? how does diversity and/ or homogeneity play a role in collaboration? This investigation on the mechanism of social cohesion within the city and artistic practices addresses inclusivity and interdependence under the theme of pollination.
